Reflective Personal Essay over Sophomore Year

My sophomore year has flown by. I have now completed my eleventh year of school at Carl Junction. I have enjoyed many memories, gained valuable knowledge that I will use for the rest of my life, and most importantly, created many new friendships.

My first quarter of my sophomore year went by in a flash. I was involved in several sports. Sadly, I didn’t make the volleyball team. Because of that, I got involved in softball. I was a manager, so I got to take pitching stats for Sydney Beck, our varsity pitcher. I enjoyed my classes this year too. I liked my science classes, such as CP Chemistry and CP Biology. I also took fun classes, such as FACS and Child Development. I had high hopes that the 2nd Quarter would be as good as or better than first quarter. …show more content…

In November, I made the Pittsburg, Kansas Star Aquila, also known as PKSA, volleyball team. I was exuberant when I made it and was ready for the season to start. Unfortunately, I fractured my cuboid bone in my right foot at volleyball practice. Because of that break, I was unable to compete in volleyball club season this year. The cast on my foot was a plaster shackle. Conversely, my school quarter was even better. At the end of my quarter I made ‘A’s and two ‘A-’s. I was content with my grades. I had hopes that my third quarter would bring healing to my foot and that my classes would be as fabulous, or even much better than second
