When I first saw that I had to take Public Speaking, I was disappointed. I was uttering to myself, why I must take public speaking. I previously knew how to speak to people, because I speak to people every day, in passing, at work, and at home. Then analysis the syllabus for the course and apprehending that I had to speak in front of strangers9( classmates), oh no, I was not prepared for that.
Likewise, doing the first week notes on Chapter 1 of the textbook The Art of Public Speaking, really got me realizing that my anxiety of speaking to strangers isn’t against me. This course will assist me to get over it. Also, given my knowledge of learning that there is a difference between public speaking and conversions. One reason that stood out to me is that public speaking is more structured than regular conversation. But in the similarity, you do the communication process in a regular conversion as well the same thing in public speaking.

For one thing, following Monroe’s Sequence in my persuasive speech when researching and getting it together work great for me. Due of that, I would be defiantly be reviewing those five steps when doing any type of speech and research or essay papers. Moreover, it really can help your speech flow in the direction you wanted to.
Unfortunately, when it came to my persuasive speech in the speaking to everyone part it was a disaster for me. I had known what I was going to say, have my confidence very high, and my energy level was high.
