Martin Luther King, Jr., had experiences as a young person that shaped his beliefs and actions as an adult, when things got hard for him and his family, he pulled through, since M.L. went through racial discrimination, he tried to stop it, and M. L. wanted to show people do good and not to disrespect others for their skin color. When M. L. was six years old his white friends stopped being friends with him do with racial discrimination. His father didn’t approve of it, so when a white person told M. L. and his father to move to the other side of the store, where it said “colored,” Martin Luther King, Sr., said, “We’ll either buy shoes sitting here or we won’t buy shoes at all.” Then they walked out of the store.
