The reasons the myths were created was to explain things humans didn't know, and this resulted in yths influencing decisions.Ancient myths have a way of influencing life today as well. There are things society uses that come from ancients like the zodiac and constellations. These examples are important and well known in society. The constellations that still fascinate children and adults today often came from Greek Myths. The wonderous stories of gods and goddesses placing beloved creatures and courageous heros among the stars to be worshipped is a beautiful fitting tribute. One of the most well-known is the story of Canis Major and Minor. These constellations come from the myth of the Teumessian Fox and Laelaps. These animals were placed in the sky by Zeus, and are well-known in the astrological community. The constellations Scorpius and Orion are from yet another Greek myth of a daring hunter, a smitten goddess, and a jealous twin brother(Orion and Artemis).
