”No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted” said Aesop, an Ancient Greek story teller in 650 BCE. I believe this quote is still true today. Just one simple word or action can really effect someone’s whole day or even week. I think some people in this world think a random act of kindness is giving a homeless person a million dollars or donating all their money to charity. There are several different forms of acts of kindness. You can help an elderly person cross the street, or just simply pick up trash in your neighbor’s yard. I personally love doing random acts of kindness. Not to get rewarded or recognized for it, but to make others feel good. I believe if we all do just one act of kindness each day, we could possibly transform the world. I will …show more content…
I was feeling a little hungry and decided to grab something to eat before my next class. I was walking through the dining hall and I noticed everyone thanking the cooks as they gave them their food. I think that is great, everyone is using their manors and being kind. I was actually impressed by the amount of students who walked through the lines saying thank you. I got in line and got my food, and found somewhere to sit down. I normally sit by window that overlooks the Universities stadium, but there were no seats left so I sat near the dish return area. As I was eating I looked over and noticed all the dishes that were stacked up on the “dish return” shelves. Although the dish washers are behind the revolving “dish return” shelves and I couldn’t actually see them, I felt bad they weren’t getting thanked like the cooks were. Kids were walking into the dish return and stacking up more and more plates every minute. I began to think, if we didn’t have dish washers doing their job correctly we’d constantly have dirty plates. Also, we would possibly get sick if the dishes weren’t completely washed. The cooks and the dish washers both have very valuable
In a short story called, “Thank you ma’am”, the author is trying to convey the theme, or message, of the importance of showing random acts of kindness towards others to help institute change. Mrs.J show one act of kindness when she washes his face. Another when she makes Roger food at her house. Mrs.J is kind and shows multiple examples throughout the story.
This past summer, I acquired an internship at Baldwin and Lyons, an insurance company in Indianapolis. Every Wednesday during my internship, a couple of employees and I participate in a prodigious community service project, Meals on Wheels. Throughout the three months that I worked at Baldwin and Lyons, I got acquainted with some of the individuals whom we delivered to. These inspiring individuals were so grateful and appreciative that we took time out of our day to volunteer to do such a service. One elderly woman who we delivered to would sing to us as she came to the front door “good meals, good meals, good meals.”
It’s very simple, but creates a world of difference. This means so much to me, in so many ways. Kindness will make a person feel better, even if they aren’t that way themselves. I’ve seen the change simple kindness can make. It can change the outlook on someone’s life, or give someone a little hope.
Kindness can really make a difference in a person's attitude. In “A Christmas Carol”, the Cratchits and Scrooge's nephew Fred show kindness to Scrooge, even though Scrooge showed quite the opposite to them. Or in “Thank you M’am”, when Ms. Jones makes Roger food and gives him money to buy his shoes, instead of reporting him to the police. Even in “Little Things Are Big”, when Jesus decides to help people even if he has to face prejudism. These stories all show turning points, and these examples show
An opened bag of potato chips was left on top. The hood above the range had lent dangling from the edges, evidence that it had not been cleaned in quite a while. According to policy, Hood and hood filters are to be cleaned on a weekly basis. The regular dishware was sitting on the table, with the eating surface side-up, while the children ate their meal on disposable dishware. No approval had been given and there was no acceptable reason for use of disposable. Debris was found at the bottom of both the reach-in refrigerator and the reach-in freezer. There was an ice tray in the freezer that was
Everyone should regularly perform small acts of kindness because kindness spreads, has an extraordinary impact, and is scientifically proven to help the health and happiness of people who act kindly
“Sometimes it 's easy to walk by because we know we can 't change someone 's whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.” ~ Mike Yankoski
Acts of Kindness can change someone's day of someone's

Most people in the world cannot afford the luxuries of the more stable household. That is why helping people is so necessary. Helping the needy means that you are thankful for what you have, so you want to help others in return. While most are remembered for bad deeds it is important to remember that kindness is not awarded. To the people they help though, they will always be remembered for their kindness with gratitude.
There are many different work spaces that must be considered in the overall design of a food facility. The amount of space needed by a dishwasher is far different from that
What can be defined as a random act of kindness? To me, a random act of kindness is simply an act of compassion toward another individual. It’s something that you give, not expecting to get anything else in return, in order to make someone’s life that much happier. As humans, I feel like it is our duty to help each other out and make each other feel like we all belong and matter. For my random act of kindness, I decided to send my brother a homemade card.
Aesop once stated, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” In this time period, many people around the globe only focus on their life, and they do not focus on lifting others up. Kindness is one word that can change lives, even when the person that shows kindness doesn’t even know the impact they are making. One act of kindness does not appear to be very important, but every act makes an impact. The world is full of hatred, war, and terrorism, but anybody can start to make a change. Some reasons that any act of kindness has an impact include other people needing positivity, the start of a chain reaction, and the benefit of other people in the world.
My favorite act of kindness is complimenting someone, because it lights up their face and a wide smile usually spreads across their face. I know that when I’ve been complimented, it often makes
...ne day a stranger did something nice for me. If it becomes a tradition it will affect more than just me and the person I helped, but also the person he or she helped and so on. Hence, I want to do something nice for someone else to benefit more and more people and create a tradition.
