Racial Segregation In America Analysis

I am going to explain why it is important to know the beliefs and traditions of those who came before us. As well as what could happen if we ignore the past. Like even when you don’t know someone you should still be nice to them if they are nice to you even if they have different cultures.

First example is, “ racial segregation was the rule throughout the American South. Strict laws called the Jim Crow”(Russell Freedman pg 413) This quote explains where some of segregation ruled and we can’t ignore that. If we did then how would you know how bad it was to understand that segregation was bad news. “ People were separated by race the moment they were born”( Russell Freedman pg 413 ) this is how bad segregation was and if we didn’t know this’ if we ignored the past we would not have all happy or mostly happy people instead we would have even more racist people that did not know that this was bad. Another example is “ it all started on a bus” ( Russell Freedman pg 413)this quote tells about how the protest started on people wanting their rights even because of their skin color.
“ if you can sit in the fifth row from the front seat of the other buses in Montgomery, suppose you get off and ride them “ ( pg 414 Jo Ann Robinson ) she Jo Ann didn’t understand what he meant so she didn’t move then after that he hurt her with words that were unpleasant and that should not of been said.One more example is “ I felt like a dog “ this shows how badly people treated other people in segregation and how could that bus driver mistaken a normal human as a
