With every generation there is always some kind of injustice that happens. For the 21st generation it is the racial injustices happening around the country, however this paper consists of the injustices within the 19th until today that is happening among women. One of the brave ladies who wanted to fight the female injustices named Simone De Beauvoir stated “a woman is not born, but made” and I do agree with her that a woman is indeed made and not made, however for us to understand this quote we have to define who a woman is and everyone has their own definition. Personally, I define a woman as someone who is strong, independent and not afraid of voicing their opinions. Some of the traditions within the world need women to be abiding to the men or them dressing in a specific outfit, being able to do housework or even not going to college. For some women they do take their tradition seriously since it is the only thing that they know, so for them breaking a tradition can be considered something heinous. So, for them to survive in that community they need to keep up that tradition. Someone who opposes that women are indeed born and not made might say that men also respect tradition of which they were born into although, that might true men do can break that rule whenever they want and they would not be scrutinized by their family or even with the …show more content…

In this generation, it is very rare to find women who are involved in science or math courses. For the majority of time the highest number of women in a class include the following subjects English, business courses etc. Although a girl is great at science for most times they will not focus on those classes for the reason being they are afraid to be isolated in that class and if they do end up passing that class they will still get bullied for example they use remarks such as how did she get that grade did she sleep with the teacher to get that great. This kind of pressure causes women not to focus in those classes so they decide to major subjects such as English, business
