Queen Elizabeth I not only changed the course of history but was also a hero to the people of England. After overcoming what was a complex, and even a difficult way to grow up, she still managed to have a great reputation, and defend herself, along with her country and everyone in it. After claiming the throne and being queen for 44 years, its safe to say she is one of England’s most famous monarch. She was strong, beautiful and independent. All of the qualities a queen should truly be.
On September 7, 1533 was suppose to be one the happiest days in King Henry VIII's life because his second wife, Anne Boleyn gave birth to a beautiful baby. Most parents would be ecstatic to have a healthy baby, but not King Henry VII. He wanted a son. That’s what all royalty wants, is a son who can later take over the crown and rule the country they've known to love. He was not going to be satisfied until he got the son he’s always wanted. Even though it was hard for King Henry to hide his disappointment in his daughter, he had other priorities. Not even two years after Princess Elizabeth Tudor was born, her father, King Henry VIII, made the orders to have Anne Boleyn, beheaded. She wasn't only his wife, but she was the mother of his two year old daughter, and he made false charges of adultery, treason, incest and conspiracy. After Anne Boleyn was beheaded, Elizabeth was no longer called a princess, but she was declared illegitimate through political machinations along with her half sister Mary Tudor. Everyone needed to start referring to her as Lady Elizabeth. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is never easy, especially for a little girl, but King Henry VIII didn't seem to down about the death of his wife. Only eleven days went...

... married, she still had many people that she was able to count on and trust. One of those men was Francis Walsingham. Francis was one of Elizabeth’s most loyal ministers. He made a promise to not only Elizabeth, but himself to nail Mary and get her out of Elizabeth's life forever. Finally that day came, and after her trial when Mary was executed, Elizabeth could finally breath once again.
Towards the end of Elizabeth's reign, she was not the queen that everyone had known and loved. She was very paranoid that people were trying to kill her. But at the age of 70, her health was not good, and she died on March 24, 1609. Everything she has been through in her life as made her the queen she was. Without the rough childhood, her sister going after her, and her not relying on a spouse, she has become one of the most independent women that this world has ever known.
