Just 39.5% of Americans approve of Trump, around the world that number drops to 22%, with 74% having no confidence in the US president. Vladimir Putin, the Russian President has a 27% approval rating worldwide and an 81% domestic approval rating from his country. While these two men may differ in approval ratings, life experience, and the governments they run, the two compare to one another when examining their powerful positions and political agendas.
A former real estate mogul, Donald J. Trump was born and raised in New York City, idolizing capitalism and the “American Dream” business style. Born into a family of prominence and wealth, Donald is a product of capitalism. His astounding net worth of 3.5 billion dollars exemplifies his success in business. Active in politics since eluding to a Presidential run in 1987, he took his political career to another level when he decided to run for President of the United States in 2016. Once in politics, he rose quickly through the ranks and had first taken office as president in 1999. Running for two more terms in 2000 and 2004, he maintained power in Russia even after serving his term limits beginning a period of “tandemocracy”. Since, Putin has worked to extend the term limits and is now the acting president once again. Eluding to a presidential run in 1987, Donald Trump did not formally enter politics until 2015 after joining the presidential race. However, Trump supported many prominent politicians monetarily and took stances on many political issues starting in 1999.
