In the 21st century racial inequality is still an issue with many environmental issues brought to the black communities or unjust police officials shown in a variety of social media outbreaks. Racial inequalities have been brought attention from Supreme Court cases. The black community still holds among the top for wage gap among other races. Groups have made protest with “Black Lives Matter” campaign seeing that cases are filed correctly and unbiased by those who review them. Many provisions are being made to change the diversity in many places such as universities, which is one of many steps the government has taken to see that the changes people want are coming. After these steps are and were taken the black community has since been improved upon. Black communities are at a disadvantage because they contain more crime, higher air pollution and food safety is at a low. Many factors contribute to higher crime in black communities or cities with a higher population of African Americans. Seattle’s population is approximately 563,000 while Washington, DC’s is holding a population of approximately 599,000. The percentage of white to black Simpson case was the case of the century and had brought much controversy against the LAPD . This case was thought to be tempered with against O.J. Simpson to bring him in as guilty later on being pleads innocent. Government officials have since tried to improve police departments. By adding cameras to police uniforms this has helped remove any suspicion of bias incrimination. Not only has the police department been enhanced but, so have many other things such as the diversity in many universities. This is giving a helping hand to many minorities but can be seen as unfit to those not having the benefit. People wonder when minorities will not be given a head start when it will end from the suffrage that happened long ago during the separate but equal times when African American kids went to worst schools with less
