How to Play American Football
American Football is a sport that is played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field that is 100 yards long with goal posts on the ends. The offense, the team with possession of the ball, advancing down the field by running or passing the ball to their teammates. The defense, the team without control of the ball, aims to stop their advance and take control of the ball. The offense must advance at least ten yards in four downs, or plays, or else they turn the ball over to the other team; if they succeed, they are given a new set of four downs. Points are primarily scored by advancing to the opponent's team end zone for a touchdown or kicking the ball through the opponent’s goalposts for a field goal. A touchdown is worth six points, plus you can kick a point after attempt, (PAT) or you can go for two points. A field goal is worth three points. The team with the most points at the end of the game, wins.
