Physical education students lack the desire and motivation to participate in physical activity.

How can the integration of pedometers increase student motivation for physical activity in physical education?

Instruction in the development and care of the body ranging from simple callisthenic exercises to a course of study providing training in hygiene, gymnastics, and the performance and management of athletic games.
• Students- a person who attends a school.
• Integration- to bring together (previously separated subjects) into one combined class or unit. An example of integration, is adding technology into a physical education lesson to form one unit.

5. Here are my operational definitions of these terms:

The textbook state that, “Operational definitions require that researchers specify the actions or operations necessary to measure or identify the term”. (Fraenkel, Wallen, and Hyun, 2015, p. 31).

Physical activity
1. Physical activity is measured by the duration, frequency or intensity level of a specified activity. Moderate intensity (walking briskly, ballroom dancing) Vigorous intensity (jogging, bicycling).
2. Physical activity can be measured through the use of technology devices such as; heart rate monitors, pedometers, and accelerometers.
