Specific Goal – At the end of the speech, the audience will be convinced to register as an organ donor.
Introduction
I. Attention & Interest: What if I were to tell you that you have the opportunity to save a person’s life would you take it?
II. Credibility: I have done a lot of research over the topic of organ donation, and I myself have registered to be an Organ donor. SLIDE-2
III. Thesis Statement: The need is constantly growing for people in need for an organ, it is very simple to become an Organ Donor. Today I will be talking about the problem of needing organ donors for transplants, how you can help this problem by becoming an organ donor and what are the benefits of having more organ donors.

• Cost? o As a donor the donation process cost nothing to you or your family.
Transition: After discussing the need of organ donors, and how you can help by becoming one or persuading others to register. How will the future look like if we do nothing?

III. If people choose not to become organ donors, people will lose their lives as a result. You or your loved ones could be a part of the 123,000 people who need an organ transplant. What if there is a shortage of organs due to a lack of organ donors?
• If nothing is done to increase the number of organ donors, patients on the waiting list will die a slow, painful death.
• Imagine knowing that you or your loved one will die because no organ donations were available.
Transition: After discussing the importance of organ donors and what we can do to help this problem I will remind you of how important it is to donate.

II. Lack of organ donors is a major problem in America. In order for a transplant to take place, organs must be screened, and blood types must match. Therefore it is crucial that there is a wide variety of organs to choose from.
