Space Exploration Article Space Exploration has waisted billions of dollars on just failed attempts to go to space. This is foolish, when we have so many problems in the world to solve. World problems range from poverty and starving people to natural disaster damage. Every problem requires a surplus of money. This means we can’t spare any to unnecessary causes such as space exploration. There are so many world problems and issues that need to be solved that will require using valuable resources, these resources should not be wasted on space exploration. One example of a problem that needs to be solved is world poverty and hunger. In an article about world hunger it stated, “11.3% of the world’s population is hungry. That’s roughly 805 million people who go undernourished on a daily basis, consuming less than the recommended 2,100 calories a day.” Instead of using the valuable resources on buying a 209 billion dollar rocket, this money should go to these hungry suffering people. Another fact from this article includes, “Nearly 98% of worldwide hunger exists in underdeveloped countries.” Just because Americans do not see world hunger doesn’t mean it’s not out there. According to a news article on vox.com, in just 2017 alone natural disasters caused around $306 billion in damage. The U.S. is going to have a lot of financial difficulties if we keep spending money on space exploration and natural disasters. We can’t stop natural disasters damage, but we can stop wasting so much money on space exploration. In a different article on 11facts.com they have cause over 1.7 trillion dollars in damage over the years. This is such a huge problem that needs to be solved that our country can’t afford to spend billions on failed attempts to explore
