Luke woke up on the couch, I must of fell asleep while watching the game last night, Luke thought. It was a Saturday so the doctor office that Luke worked at was closed. Luke got up and did a morning stretch, he looked around and saw no one was up. He walked past Cynthia’s room but she was nowhere to be found. Huh Cynthia must be in my bed. He walked into his bedroom and saw that no one was in the bed but heard the showing running. “Honey can I come in? Luke asked. He heard no response from Allison or his daughter. Clothes and suitcases flooded yards, some people didn't even make it to their cars, blood stains filled their driveways. But Luke wandered where the bodies went, he couldn´t be the only person that got affected from this. He turned on the radio to see if there was any news. ¨This is the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, this is not a warning, please stay inside and await for further instructions, I repeat, do not attempt to go outside unless it's an emergency,¨ the automated voice said. Well that was no help Luke thought, all of a sudden a man jumped out of the road ¨Help me, please help me, I'm not bitten, I promise,¨ said the strange man. Suddenly a voice came on the radio “To any survivors that can hear me, my name is Diane Peterson and i'm with the Red Cross, if you are able to travel please come to the Coy Elementary School, we have beds, food, and can provide safety. We will lock the doors at sundown for the night so please hurry.¨ The voice shut off. Excitement came over Luke and Pierre, for a moment there was a surge of hope. But all of a sudden a man ran into the road, Luke swerved out of the way but ran into a brick mailbox. The windshield shattered all over the dashboard, Luke woke up minutes later, he was drowsy and his left ear was ringing. ¨Pierre are you alright?¨ Luke got no response, he looked over and saw the door was wide open. Luke scrambled out of his car, looking for any signs of Pierre. A blood trail on the pavement showed that Pierre must have gotten dragged across the road to the gas station. Luke didn’t know if he should ditch Pierre or try to save him. Luke decided to try to save him, he went behind the gas station. He opened the door and tried to hear if anyone was talking, he heard no one. He crept into the back room and saw Pierre lying down unconscious with a dark shadowy figure standing over
