Personal Narrative: Middle School

Middle School for me was exciting and a little overwhelming but I got through it. First of all, In middle school, they have a lot of frustrating work, which causes me to have horrible headaches and have a lot of stress. Second of all, The people here are very welcoming and fun to be with, and they make feel comfortable in my school. Third of all, The rumors I heard from my friend were horrible, but when I was in Quail hollow for a month or two, the rumors weren’t real, it was the opposite thing that I expected. In conclusion, Middle school is a great place to be but it was something that I didn’t expect. One of the changes I’ve had this year is I've become less articulate. First of all, I don't talk as much in my classes anymore, the only time I talk is when I need to answer a question or if another student needs help on something. For example, When one of my friends asked me for help on one of the science questions, I did help them then I resumed staying silent on my work. Second of all, I get my work done a little faster than before. For instance, When we started doing work, it took me a long period of time than it should have because I kept talking with other people but now I'm one of the people who finish early from not opening my work and staying focused on my work. First of all, I improved on the MAP test. For example, on every Map test, I grow 2 or more points. Second of all, I have a better score on my unit test. For instance, I get 80% or higher on my test. Third of all, When The teacher asked me a question I might know the answer better. Specifically, When we were in the Roman unit, Ms. Gordon asked me a question about the Roman roads, and I didn’t know the answer, but now when she asked the same question to the class I knew right away but someone already beat me to it.
