I have seen a lot of marriages falling apart, because they don't go to talk to a professional. So much pain and suffering a family will go through, especially when they have children. Parents believe that everything will be okay and if they bottled everything inside it will go away. People don't realize that talking things out and seeking help can resolve many issues, it can even safe a family from being torn apart. If someone really loved each other they will do anything to figure out what is causing all these issues. My cousin is a marriage and family therapist, she has helped many people get back together and be happy again. I want to do that, I want to help people get their happy endings, we all deserve one. It is important to know how to use software, for example Medical, Accounting, Spreadsheet, etc. Technology has been advancing every year, it is logical for to keep up with it. Having this skills can be fast and easy to use instead of doing everything manually. A therapist also has to have the skill of wanting to help people. Doing things half heartedly can be disastrous to your clients and it also shows that therapist isn't interested in helping them. A therapist also have to beware of how their clients reacts to thing, from those reactions they can come up with a diagnose and be ready to do treatments. I will have to take a lot of psychology classes, including research and statistics classes. When I am finished with my associate degree, I will go to UNLV to get my bachelors degree and my master's degree. My first year of college I went to UNLV so my application with UNLV is already in their system, I also talk to their councilor every semester too. I will have to take English classes too because I still need more practice with writing my essays. It will take me a little longer because I only go part time, but if I overcome it I know it will be worth it. I will get my certificate at American Psychotherapy Association, you have to renew it every year but it has a lot of details on the certificate, I am guessing it will take me a at least a year or so to get it. I will get my license for clinical professional counselor in the agency of Board of Examiners for Marriage & Family Therapists, and Clinical Professional Counselor, it is said that it would take at least 3 years. When I finish my schooling and getting my license I will move to New York and join the Berkshire Farm Center for the functional family therapist. I have heard that they are a great company to work in, my cousin is also trying to get a job
