It is something about the holiday season that I start to reminisce back to my childhood. Most likely because of all the many festivities, I was forced to go to as a kid. I hated attending these gatherings. As a child, you could describe me best as a “home body”. At every Thanksgiving I sat in the back corner of my Aunt Tammy’s house and watched as my cousins played and the adults spoke about their past and present lives. Now that I look back, I wish I would have made the most out of these moments, but all I could do is impatiently waiting to indulge in all the delicious holiday food. I will never forget the Thanksgiving back in 2010. It was the last one before my Aunt’s husband, Floyd, passed away. My mom always contributed to the feast by
