This essay is about the story of Perseus, a hero who killed Medusa and brought her head to his kingdom. At the beginning of the story Perseus wants to accomplish something in his life. He would rather die a warrior than never do anything in his life at all. He says: “Let me rather die a youth, fighting ever, suffering ever, than live at ease like a beast that feeds on flowery pastures and feels no fiery gladness, no heart bleeding pain.” To prove himself to the kingdom, Perseus sets off to get the head of Medusa.
