The majority of people love an authentic milkshake. However what many do not know is how hard it can be to create a delicious tasting shake. Handmade milkshakes are an American classic. To make the perfect milkshake the server has to follow these certain steps: Find out what type of base the customer wants their milkshake to be, fill the right amount of ice cream in the cup, and mix the shake to the perfect consistency. To start, the server needs to find out what type of base the customer wants their milkshake to be. There are hundreds of bases a milkshake can have; it can have syrup bases, candy bases, or both. The easiest milkshake to make are plain syrup based, such as chocolate. The chocolate syrup is very creamy, and the easiest to mix. Once the server has the base of the milkshake in the cup, the next step is to fill the right amount of milk in the cup. The mixing ring helps to prevent the ice cream from falling out during the mixing process. The ice cream needs to be filled a little over the top of the cup, while the mixing ring is in the cup. If the cup is filled to much the ice cream will make the milkshake to chunky to drink, and if the cup is not filled enough the milkshake will be to liquidy. The amount of ice cream could also be adjusted, depending on the size of the cup, and the amount of syrup or candy the server used as a base. With syrup bases, the server would need more ice cream, and with candy bases the cup would need less ice cream. Also if too much milk was poured, the server could add a little more ice cream than normal to even it out.
