Philippians is a letter written by Paul to the people of Philippi in which he expresses his gratitude for their constant help and friendship while in jail.
There is much debate over the book of Philippians
Scholars debate on if Paul wrote the letter alone, or if Timothy assisted him.
Scholars still do not know where or when it was written
Scholars do not know if the book is actually two or three letters combined, or if it is one letter and the other letters were never found
Philippians is said to be Paul’s most optimistic and upbeat letter

It describes Jesus in three stages, The form of God, a Human, and lastly exalted by God to be our lord of all.
This was the beginning of the trinity and the doctrine of the two natures of Christ.
Humility
Paul wants the Philippians to live a Christ like life putting others before themselves and to place others interests ahead of their own.
Paul also includes a hymn which is one of the most significant depictions of Christ in the New Testament. The poetic language expresses the two natures of Christ, who was in the form of God and emptied himself, taking the form of a slave or servant. In this human likeness and human form, Christ humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death--even death on a cross.
Suffering
We as Christian suffer on Earth, but in the end it will be worth it when we are united with Christ in heaven
The Philippians are having troubles with their faith, so Paul tells them about his sufferings in jail and how in the end it will all be worth it. He gives them hope by telling them of the good that has come from his suffering and encourages them to find the good in their
