Obstacles To Education Essay

Normally, everyone has at least one obstacle to his or her education. Even the smartest person in the school will find something difficult to achieve. The obstacle does not have to be about their grade in the class. Perhaps it could be a financial problem, family or friends holding you back, or not connecting with the teacher. Obstacles do not have to hold you back and keep you from reaching your goals. You can take obstacles you are facing and try as hard as you can to overcome them. Several students have trouble in their academic lives, but they find a way to overcome them. They come out on top and do not let anything stand in their way. This is a challenge for me because the teachers I have had in the past go too fast and it is hard for me to keep up. I prefer teachers that go slower and make sure the students understand the material presented. I learn best when teachers explain the material first. Then, I read it myself and write notes for the given material to better my understanding of the topic. I know this may be a lot to ask of most teachers, but I know this is how I learn best. When I was younger, I had several tutors that helped me through this obstacle and helped me understand my learning style. I was tested for several learning disabilities and it found I may have dyslexia, but I have worked very hard to overcome it. Adapting to different learning styles is still an obstacle to my education because it takes a lot of time for me to fully understand the material presented in class. I am very grateful for all the people in my life that have helped me through these challenges of my educational experience.
