There’s a pros and cons with innovative pedagogies; the advantages are the teachers can see the positive changes on the students, the students learn from different perspective of learning, the students are keen of learning with activities and it might help with their grades however, constantly improving the pedagogies or programmes in the school for a short amount of time killed the quality of the programme itself. To create a performance-based prior knowledge assessment, I need to identify the background knowledge and skills that students will need to succeed in my class. My assessment includes tasks and questions that test students’ capabilities in these areas.

In one of our group project we were asked to make a pre test for the students to identify or know what is elements of art using multiple choice questions, fill in the blank (critical thinking questions), practical (draw and colour).
