One thing that I found interesting about my assessment is the fact that under My Interests, "Application of Technology" was 3rd highest on my list. I believe that technology has its perks, but I often find that it can be a hindrance or a crutch or just simply a pain to use. Not to mention, during the IST class last semester, whenever we had to familiarize ourselves with a computer system, I tended to dread those assignments. However, with the everchanging world of business, I know that the use of technology will continue to expand. No matter how I feel about technology, I am aware that I will most likely need to familiarize myself with various computer systems to efficiently complete my job. After taking this assessment, I am reassured by the thought that maybe I have a natural interest in technology, an interest that could help me in the future. …show more content…
Between my parents and my upbringing in the church, I grew up being taught that respect for others was of the utmost importance, especially respect for those in a higher position than me. Additionally, my job as a taekwondo instructor highly emphasizes the essentiality for respecting others. Therefore, it comes as a shock to me that my score was so low, and I fell in such a low percentile. The results of this assessment motivate me to be more aware of others. Now, and once I get out in the business world, I hope to show all my peers and elders respect. Life is too fragile to show disrespect and sacrifice another's self-esteem, and unfortunately in some cases, another's
I have learned that people gravitate toward leaders who show unrequited respect to those they serve. Because I believe that all people are equally human, people never have to worry about facing disrespect from me. Understanding respect helps me remember that a state of leadership is a position of service as opposed to authority; this plays a vital role in my capability to bring the best out of people by adding significant value to my words when I am leading them. Respect also creates a very clear channel for effective communication, especially among people with contrasting viewpoints. I know that upon arriving in college, I will be exposed to a vast array of beliefs and perspectives, and a many of such will be different from mine. Respect empowers me to make room for clear and effective communication with people from all sorts of backgrounds. respect lays an unwavering foundation of trust among people, and I believe trust will be essential to prosperous relationships even beyond my time in
There seems to be some confusion based on Mr. Cohn email, please allow me to clarify.
Proper respect for others begins by a person respecting their self. Respect is developed by expressing honor, leadership, value, and trust in a person. If everyone respects everyone someday, the world will become a seventh heaven. It is important to be respectful for safety, to abide by the law, because children are influenced by their elders’ actions, and because God says so. Motivation from peers can help a person realize there is always room to improve the level of respect a person exhibits. Respect was, is, and always will be a positive attribute for everyone to strive for in their lives.
It was November 12 when spacecraft Rosetta caught up with the comet called Churyumov-Gerasimenko better know as 67P (Lauren, 2014). The journey took 6.4 billion miles to complete (Lauren, 2014). Also Rosetta sent a lander called Philae to explore the comet and take picture among other things (Lauren, 2014). Interestingly enough when the media reported the comet landing I thing is trumped Kim kardashian attempt at breaking the internet with her nude photos which the media was cover at about the same time as the comet landing. With all that being said you might be asking why should I care? You should care about this comet because comets came from and can tell us about our solar system, also there has not been any unique and important mission as this one, further more it might be the last space mission we get to experience for a while. Now I am going to get in to what comets are and how they got here and talk a little bit

In the second assignment, I wrote a personal story, it was about my experience in my previous job, back home. I focused more on an interesting story that I witnessed it while I was working there, I believe I turned into an enjoyable story. However, I did not get a decent grade, it definitely, was my bad that I did not revise my paper not pre-reading. Consequently, the grade was worth learning. Also, I improved my skill of describing a scene, that I should to help my readers to visualize the scene and keep them interesting by connect the dots with each other. In the beginning of the course, we discussed “NGD”. The two areas of “NGD” that we focused on were number and geometry. Number is discrete, finite, time, or sound. Geometry is continuous, infinite, space, or vision. Bronowski mentioned how “it’s said that science will dehumanize people and turn them into numbers” (374). This tragically became true during the Holocaust where people were no longer considered human beings, but rather numbers. We discussed various mathematical topics concerning numbers like the well-ordering pair. In the well-ordering pair, ever subset has a least member. There are also figurative numbers, squared numbers, and even Pythagorean triples.
Module 1 assignment was to write our current vision of the future of education and learning covering each of the STEEP areas. STEEP includes Social, Technological, Environmental, Economic and Political. In the assignment, technology was said to be an area that a lot of educators are turning to. However, the question has always come up, is this a good idea? At times, it feels like a disadvantage to students who cannot afford the technology. Also, technology can handicap students, but since there is no way to turn from it now, why not try to do it correctly?

The students and I began lesson 1,“Analyzing the Development of Central Ideas”. I essentially chose this lesson since analyzing central idea within a text might be a big part of the state test. The group and I read the introduction, most students participated in reading. I explained to the group what a central idea and supporting details were. I used an example of books and how each story had a central idea and details that back up its claim. Afterwards, we examined the cartoon, and determined the central idea. I explained to them the chart of determining central idea and details that support the claim. I had students in their own words tell me what a central idea was.
Respect is a behavior that shows another person moral and ethical acceptance. Showing respect for another, even when not deserved, is considered to be a good sign of breeding in times past, but now as where society has changed, dissing "show disrespect for" has become more accepted, this behavior suggests a cultural shift from rewarding kindness and self-restraint to applauding a more open expression of hospitality through rudeness. Perhapes there is a lessening of concern over being respectable, along with an increased vigilance oto make sure one is respected.Concludeing that Civility must beging with the individual person making small sacraficiesfor others.
Respect is a positive feeling shown towards someone or something considered important, or held in high esteem or regard as it conveys a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities. This debatable concept of whether respect must be earned or not is explored in “The Fight” by Richard Wright and in “The Confrontation” by Raymond Barrio. Even though some support exists for the struggle for respect being freely given, more evidence supports respect being earned by oneself because it gets one point across and respect cannot be given unless it is earned.
Respect is a cornerstone of my being, and I try to respect every person I meet. I will not judge a person based on beliefs, only on actions. If I feel someone is worthy of my respect, I will make sure I do my best to show that to them. Some people demand respect, and I don’t believe that is how you garner it. To accumulate respect, you must first reveal you are worthy of it. People are not simply entitled to respect. The best way to show that you are worthy is to do it through actions. It is an easy task for most people to gain respect, however, is it quite easy to lose it. Keeping that respect is an essential task for every successful person, and losing it will also mean losing your
