In the illustration, there are two hands positioned across from each other and they each have different backgrounds. On one side the background overflows with brightness with abundant number of trees above the hand. The other side has a consistency of smoke and has chemical plants surrounding the hand. The hands also have a contradistinctive sign languages where one hand is trying to tempt it to coming over to the darkness. While, the other hand is reaching for it with the outcome of the fingers bursting into flames. An international nonprofit organization Lawrence Anthony Earth (LAEO) believes chemical plants, pipelines, oil and gas drillings, and other employees who release dangerous chemicals into the air are being addressed to this situation (Wagenbrenner, 2017). …show more content…

In the painting, God being positioned at the right side inside of an unshaped object and supported by angels with Adam on the left. Adam responds to His touch and not only he will take his first breath, but humankind is being made in the image of God (“Michelangelo’s Creation”). The significance of preservation is to “protect something valuable so that it is not damaged nor destroyed” (Merriam-Webster).
