Nicolaus Copernicus Accomplishments

For hundreds of years, humans thought that the Earth was the center of the Universe, but one smart astronomer changed it all. Who? Well, it was Nicolaus Copernicus, now known as the father of modern astronomy. Born in Poland on February 19th, 1473, Copernicus grew fond of astronomy and later identified the concept of a heliocentric solar system. Nicolaus Copernicus was a great inquirer due to how he loved to learn, asked questions, was curious and discovered new things. His skills led him to discover a model that changed how we looked at the Universe.

First of all, he's an inquirer because he loved learning. Since he was young, his uncle wanted him to get the best possible education and he did. He loved getting a good education because he loved learning new things. He went to the University of Cracow, where he studied astronomy, mathematics, philosophy and the sciences. He collected a lot of books about astronomy because he was very intrigued by the heavens; he even took down his own observations. This demonstrates that Copernicus loved learning about multiple subjects and was very curious about astronomy.
