Life, it is such a fragile thing that if treated right people can have ultimate happiness. Since I was a young boy everything seemed to be going my way. It seemed that I was destined to have a great and easy life. That statement was very true until my grandfather and my uncle were diagnosed with cancer. While those things are terrible and tragic they both fought through and kept fighting so everything was back to being great. Then a year later that is when my whole world was turned upside down and I thought that I would never be the happy, carefree boy I was. Everything was great at the start of my freshman year. I was absolutely loving being in high school. Everything seemed to be going my way. Band is a blast because it gives me something to belong to and Mr. Shellhouse makes me absolutely love being there. I had my problems in 8th grade. During the time I was there I had my Gallbladder removed and my body was still adjusting to my stomach not constantly hurting. Like I said though the start of my high school career was going great. The school was doing great in football and band had won the competitions the band was in. At this point I could not ask for anything better. Christmas holidays rolled through and still everything was great and I could not wait for school to start back up. Then a month after school started back up that is when everything changed. My father had not been feeling great and so he went to the doctor and they said he had gallstones. They said it would be a routine surgery and that there was no need to worry but little did anyone know that when he was in surgery my life would ultimately change forever. I was not told till i got home but while dad was in surgery the doctor stopped the surgery
Everything for a year had been leading up to this point and here I was in the middle of the happiest place on earth in tears because my friends had abandoned me in the middle of Disney on the senior trip.
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down. 8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this.
High school is like a whole new thing. It changed me in many ways it changed me to be responsible and to be mature. Here in high school they don't let things pass so fast like they used in middle school they know how we are. I stared to pay attention more in my classes and doing really good in my classes.
It was a typical day for my mother and I, as we decided to go to the Pomona Fair with additional family members. At the fair my mother began to experience extreme pain in her abdomen, which was a direct result of a gallbladder infection. We decided to leave the fair so that she may receive medical attention. That night my life changed
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
Sophomore year was a struggle for me at first. Transitioning from the Ninth Grade Center to the high school was the worst part. The Ninth Grade Center is like a little safe cacoon where you
My high school days all merge into one large blur, except for one. This happened to be a Thursday afternoon after we had dropped off the carpool and my father told me that my grandmother had been diagnosed with stomach cancer. There was a sense of despair and disbelief in the air, as we both held the notion that stomach cancer was more or less the equivalent of a death sentence. My father seemed to be especially upset as he kept repeating the fact that she had relinquished her green card a few years earlier. This meant that she would have to perform surgeries and treatment in her native country of Brazil, instead of the United States. In the end, she had her entire stomach removed and her mental health deteriorated immensely as a result.
happiness that comes when we possess it. We all want to be happy, but we are in love with the
The year started off pretty rough because I had to repeat the ninth grade and I was just now finally getting into the tenth. It was frustrating being behind in certain classes. I was successfully able to complete all of the classes that seemed to be so much harder for me the year before. I was more focused on my math and trying to make sure that I got everything done to get that credit I had missed in ninth grade. My biggest challenge was being in school on time; being tardy is still my biggest flaw in life due to my sleeping habits. I can remember the first day, walking into my math class and realizing I had a female teacher for the first time in years in a math class. I remember how she would teach me how to understand my math problems but wouldn’t just give me the answers. Her not giving in and giving me the answers made it much easier for me to have to work on my own to figure out my own problems and mistakes with my work. That made me stronger in
My high school experience has been a very challenging and exciting 4 years. I have learned many things that will help me in life and I feel confident that I am ready for whatever obstacle I may face. High school has defined, shaped my character, and helped me to mature into the young woman that I am
I believe that happiness is the key to living a good and prosperous life. Through all of the sadness and hate in the world, happiness gives me hope. It gives not only me, but others hope and joy. Happiness gives us something to hold onto, therefore we cherish it as much as we can.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
My high school years came left, without noticing that I had not even found myself. It was like I had walked through a long hallway and never gave myself one thought. Never really found the person hiding inside of me. It was always about everyone else, what everyone else needed, and what everyone else thought. Never really caring about what I thought, but honestly that 's how I always liked it. During my last days of high school I would see everybody crying and making plans for the summer, but to me it was like it was just another summer and we would come the next year. It hadn 't hit me that, that year was my last year in high school. Senior picnic came, the senior panoramic, prom, senior skip day, and last, but certainly not least, graduation.
