My major is communication with two concentrations. My first concentration is broadcasting. Geology directly relates to the broadcasting aspect of my degree because where I live determines events that I might have to take into account, depending on the environment and geological area. Depending on the area I live there could be tragedies like earthquakes and landslides. Those are events that I may have to discuss as a news reporter or anchor. This could also directly affect me because I would have to be on the lookout for potential incidents. We visited a place called Red Bluff. The place does not encourage visitors because it could be harmful due to the muddiness, unclear trail, and the various jumps and climbing you have to do. The path to the center of Red Bluff you could see the impact of geological processes as you saw the mini stream of water effects on the minerals that became mud. But when we arrived there were plenty of risk takers that were young and old. According to the Clarion Ledger, “The geological formation created by millions of years of erosion from the west bank of the Pearl River.” There was trails and mountains to climb. I was scared to climb up the hill that looks like it was made of sand. As I climbed up the hills the minerals packed together to support my weight, some fell as they reacted to me climbing up. The particles were so small but supportive that I could climb, stand, and slide down the mountain that appeared to be steep. I was directly affected my geologic processes when I was sliding down a hill that was made of those minerals. I even fell when I came in to contact with clay as I was climbing up what seemed to be a study hill mad of rock. This trip to Red Bluff showed me the connection between water, rocks and
