Scholar-Practitioners & Academic Integrity
A scholar-practitioner in health care administration is defined by the student’s ability to portray their interest and ideas in writing and reinforce them with proven statements. This is done by composing manuscripts that are comprised of detailed data that is clear, concise, and based on facts. The documents include a specific purpose and evidence to corroborate statements made to support that hypothesis. Once the information is gathered, a scholarly writer demonstrates a working knowledge of the assigned topic and the capacity to present that argument to a specific audience. Upon presentation, the reader is assured of the exclusion of assumptions and opinions because of the inclusion of reviewed cited resources. Acknowledging the publications of others or the manifestation of academic integrity is expected of every student or contributor. Information that is similar or quoted exactly must be presented to the reader as such. Thus, I thoroughly analyze all research material for accuracy and truth prior to being implemented as evidence. After including this information, I notate all sources as references at the end of the document.
Strengths and Weaknesses in Scholarly Writing:
Throughout this term, I have evaluated several strengths and weakness in performing scholarly writing assignments. One domain of interest is the ability to research specific topics as assigned. Prior to attending this online class, I had very little exposure to the different avenues of collecting information and defining the distinction between peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed articles. Financial skills are needed to maintain the hospital or clinic functions. Clinical supervisors must stay abreast of the dividends going out and coming into the institution. Again, budgeting classes are a great tool to assist with the ability to devise a working budget and strategies to retain the company’s financial stability.
