Until now states like Colorado, Oregon, and Washington have led the cannabis economy, making recreational use legal in their states. The result has been a dramatic increase in revenue to the state and business owners. The medical marijuana marketplace has been tested and validated. Recreational adult use is the next logical step.
In Nevada, which already has an active medical cannabis market, there is a legislative initiative to legalize the adult use recreational market. Las Vegas in particular is unique to any other location. With more than 40 million visitors each year, many of whom visit for entertainment, it makes sense to legalize recreational adult cannabis use.

Standards in manufacturing, distribution, and retail are maintained and, for the most part, self-administered. This removes oversight work load from the Nevada government and allows the responsible industry to ensure standards are maintained.
The three-tier system of manufacturers, distributors, and retailers is the key stone to a Nevada cannabis industry that will be safe for the consumer and ensure the longevity of the industry itself. With such a framework in place, Las Vegas will be able to provide safe recreational adult use for visitors to the city. Dosages and packaging will be standardized and regulated, allowing venue owners to serve their customers safely and legally.
Nevada historically has been at the forefront of entertainment options for visitors and cannabis is no different. Soon, with the three-tier framework in place, Nevada businesses will benefit from the massive growth in the legal marijuana industry. The market is poised for extreme growth.
