Being a teacher is a life changing the experience? It’s a great opportunity for you to teach your students all the knowledge you can think of to create a bright future for our little ones. The school that I visited was Santa Maria Elementary, and I interview Mrs. Maria Juanita Lozano, she is Special Education Teacher – PPCD for almost 32 years of experience. Mrs. Lozano loves being with his/her students. These are some things that Mrs. Lozano shared in the interview. What is important in education today? She answered that one main concern of all teachers today is providing each of their students with the best educational program. Starting with discipline so that they can use it in their everyday life. Especially with her students because some students come very aggressive and start throwing toys or just hitting others students. Next, the question that I ask Mrs. Lozano was wanted are the characteristics of a professional teacher. She stated many characteristics of a professional teacher is too respectful to one another, organized and plans, keep informed and updated, open for suggestion, flexible. Another question that was asked was what were some experiences that they have had while teaching. She answered this, two students are alike regardless of the classroom setting they are in. Their learning styles are different as are their needs, and it’s our job considers this when we plan our lessons. It takes a team effort to run and efficient classroom. Mrs. Lozano stated that there are three benefits of teaching this age level. The first one was that reaching each developmental milestone is a great celebration.
