Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 , in Atlanta,GA . His father was a pastor , and his mother was a school teacher. He had two other siblings by the name Christine (his older sister) and Alfred Daniel (his younger brother). Martin engaged in racism VERY early. He had 2 white friends , their parents made them separate , because the color of their skin , and he was only 6 at the time. Martin Luther King Jr. was an very intelligent student. He graduated at the age 15 to Morehouse College. At the age of 18 he decided to become a minister at his father’s church. He graduated from Morehouse College in 1948. King studied Gandhi’s techniques on non-violent protests in India of 1959. In Atlanta in 1960 he had become a co-pastor at his father’s church.The year after that he had led the “nonviolent army” in Albany. 1963 King was in a event in Birmingham,Alabama, the goal of this event was to achieve the desegregation of many public facilities , during this he was arrested. During 1964 Mr.King had won the Nobel Peace Prize , he was the youngest person to ever receive one. 1965 in Selma,Alabama King had lead a drive to register black voters.the drive had violent resistance and that lead to a 5 day march from Selma,Alabama to
