Mark Minzie, currently pursuing an Engineering Career in the Petroleum Industry at The Pennsylvania State University, where he majors in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. At leisure, he shares the majority of his time with his loving family, the rest he spends on completing self-empowering challenges like learning a new foreign language, or how to Master a technical software. Mark, an avid science fiction fan, also devotes some of his time researching new technologies that are relevant to the Petroleum Industry. This summer alone, he took on the challenge, of teaching himself Deutsch (German) and AutoCAD. Undoubtedly, both challenges are fantastically difficult, but are doable, he believes. His unwavering determination, strong personality, and nonetheless, his desire for success are the fuel that power Mark’s ambitious pursuits.

Despite his seemingly busy schedule, he knows how to strike a balance between work and play. One of his core and most crucial philosophies is that “a healthy body and mind are the catalysts for achieving greatness and enlightenment.” To live up to his own philosophy, Mark fully engages himself with a mixture of sports and outdoor adventure such as soccer, tennis, rock-climbing or cycling. Mark, a proud member of the Jamaican diaspora, was born in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica (an emerald of the Caribbean seas) on March 9th 1985.
