Whenever I go to the lake and see my reflection, I invariably envisage the impact that I can have in the world if I use my power, inducement, and temerity correctly. Even appears to be wrong, Adolph Hitler invigorates me to actively try to change the problems that society faces. Because I fathom that I’m similar to Hitler, he enthuses me to not make the same errors of using my authority for the wrong cause. Furthermore, like Hitler, Malala Yousafzai fights for something she believes in, but the difference is that we think she’s doing something for the benefit of society. Malala Yousafzai is a girl from the Swat Valley who started the fight for education for Pakistani girls. She was born in a place where girls are hidden away and boys are celebrated, but she wanted to change all that. Out of all of the stages of the hero journey, Malala’s journey along with her return from darkness help depict her as a hero to men, women, and children around the world.
The novel I am Malala tells the story of a pakistani girl named Malala Yousafzai, where she illustrates her story of her life and her movements towards women’s rights and girls education. Being the youngest candidate for the nobel prize, Malala inspires a multitude of girls, women, and social activist all around. She fights to create a generation who thrives in education and who lives truly how they should live in. Therefore, Malala wields surreal imagery to illustrate her events, utilizes drastic pathos to compel the readers into action, and excessive juxtaposition to contrast the American society to hers.

Imagine a world with no education. It is hard not to imagine a society where no knowledge, no future, or no life. If the world had no education; how will we build our sources? How will life know what is right and what is wrong? How would society know about the stages of life from past, present, and future? Just think how empty the world would be without education. Malala Yousafzai, an activist of woman and children's right of education known for her courageous acts to improve education globally. Malala Yousafzai has positively benefitted modern society by speaking up for her rights of education and by inspiring others to join her to create equality for all.

Fighting to learn is one of the many problems women face each day, additionally it does not help when the opportunity to be educated is not given to over 6 million teenage girls alone. The women that are confident enough to stand up and fight for schooling are usually respected. Being one of the very few people in Pakistan who fought for better teachings, Malala is now well respected in many countries. Malala Yousafzai (Yoo-saff-zay) was shot by the Taliban in 2012; after a long recovery, she miraculously advocates for education around the world.
Humans need courage to face the challenges in life and not cower away from them. Malala Yousafzai was shot by the Taliban when she stood up for girls’ right to go to school. Her strong belief in allowing females be educated went against the Taliban’s restriction on education. Malala got her passion from her father who was an advocated for education in their home country, Pakistan. It took a great deal of courage to face a Taliban who was threatening her, and it seemed like she could have been facing the devil himself. They shot her in the head in an attempt to silence her but her courageousness gave her the bravery to face them when nobody else would. Her heroism has been an inspiration for many and received the Nobel Peace Prize for her work as a global advocate for girls who have been withheld from their right to education. Education is one of the most important human rights. Yousafzai is able to support these claims with the way she speaks. She is splendid at using rhetoric, persuasive language with techniques like figures of speech. Malala Yousafzai uses repetition, pathos, and ethos to support her claims.
Malala Yousafzai uses examples of argumentative techniques to advance her cause for quality and attainable education worldwide. She builds her argument by using persuasive techniques such as facts, emotion, rhetorical questions, and figurative language throughout her speech.
Thus, ethos, the building or undermining the credibility of the speaker is seen throughout the speech. The first example of ethos is built by the way Malala connects herself to the people of the UN by referring to herself and her audience as “brothers and sisters;” this phrase causes the audience to pay attention to what she is saying from the beginning of the speech while causing a feeling of kinsmanship. In addition, Malala builds her ethos by keeping a calm, steady voice throughout the duration. Moreover, Malala ethos is strengthened through the phrase, “one girl among many.” Malala wants her audience to view her as just another girl, not a martyr or a Saint. She insists that she was only one of the millions injured and that she is merely speaking for the voices that cannot be heard. Furthermore, Malala’s ethos is enhanced when she insists that she learned peace, compassion, forgiveness, and the concept of change from social activist leaders of the past. Malala Yousafzai fought, and is currently still fighting for education rights for women and children (Van). Malala Yousafzai defied a law which she determined unjust and was prepared to pay the ultimate price: her life. Due to Yousafzai’s personal beliefs, she choose to participate in civil disobedience by protesting the ban on education. Malala Yousafzai was successful in her actions through the use of peaceful protest. Yousafzai committed an act of civil disobedience in the eyes of the Taliban. Malala Yousafzai gives a speech at the United Nations. The terrorist attack made her a strong person, although she is young. She did not give a speech for revenge, however, she finds that talking about the importance of receiving education for all people at the time of the shooting. Further, Malala has a pure heart, so she can’t hate the Taliban. She has learned to be peaceful to all people from Muhammad, the prophet of mercy, Jesus Christ and Lord Buddha.

Being shot in the head by Taliban did not stop Malala for advocating for the right to education of children. Through her heroic exploits, she received a Nobel Peace Prize on December 10, 2014. This speech was delivered by her during the award ceremony. The speech constitutes everything that Malala stands for. She perfectly provided her background, motivation, and work, along with being grateful towards everyone involved with her in the speech. As an avid speaker, she has also used some rhetorical tactics to capture the attention of her listeners and make sure her point gets through everyone’s mind.
