Attendance and lunch count.
The lunch count is taken just after 8 a.m. during news show/ morning work by K. and E. (two responsible best friends’ girls). The students that have lunch money raise their hands and the girls take the count. Miss Martin takes attendance after the lunch count, asking only for the students she doesn’t remember seeing. She put it in the system through her computer.
Distributing and getting materials
The students can go and take any of the needed materials, like crayons or markers from the storage boxes, bins, their backpacks or shelves without asking the teacher for permission. The white boards and markers with erasers are in the students’ desks, they take them out when needed and put them away after they are done. …show more content…

When they are all in line the first student is allowed to get out from the door.
Walking down the hallway
The students go to the first corer and wait for a signal from the teacher that they are allow to proceed. The students are to walk in the line, keeping personal space, not talking or touching anything in the hallway or each other. They are to stay on the colored tiles on the right side of the hallway. The teacher walks on the left side. After the teacher gives a sign the students can go farther till they stop at the next corner. When they arrive at the related arts classroom and the teacher is out in the hallway, the 5th grade teacher waits for a hand sing from the other teacher and then she is free to go.
Breaks for bathroom and drinks.
The students are to raise their hands making a v letter with their fingers to let the teacher know they want to go to the bathroom not during a bathroom break. The students are usually permitted to go as long they are the only ones of their gender in the restroom from their class. The small water fountain tap is looked by the sink in the classroom, so that the students can get up and have a drink whenever they want …show more content…

Only when the teacher tells the students to raise their hands they are not to blurt out the answer.
Lunchroom duty
The students go in and sit at their table. The ones with lunch money wait in line and hold up their choice fingers. The students are to talk quietly, and clean after themselves the teacher sits at thatcher’s table, but each one is sat in the way that they can see their class table. When the teacher says her name, the student are to get up, stay in line to empty trash and stack trays and then line up next to the doors.
When the students don’t pay attention or follow directions.
When the students are not paying attention or follow direction using lecturing, the teacher calls on them, expecting them to know the answer. If they don’t know the answer. She tells them to pay attention so that they will know next time. When the whole classroom is too loud she stops talking waiting for them to calm down and sometimes she tells them that there is no such a thing as they are talking as she is. When the students are to work independently and the student is not doing his or her job, the student’s calls on them as well. Usually some kind of treat or actual punishment (for example, silent lunch) comes with it or the second
