1. The Libertarian Party is considered America’s largest third party and believe in total individual liberty including pro-drug legalization, pro-choice, pro-home schooling etc. They also believe in total economic freedom which means they want a traditional laissez-faire approach. They believe that there is a correlation between lower government and more freedom. They want each person to have as much individual rights as they possibly can. 2. The candidates that have run for a member of this party include congressman Ron Paul, former congressman Bob Barr, former senator Mike Gravel, and former New Mexico governor. A trend that exists between the candidates in the Libertarian party is they were either ex-Republicans or ended up becoming Republicans.
This passage places emphasis on one of the three arguments James Madison makes in Federalist 10. Madison explicates the deficit of factions specifically factions that could cause nothing but “mischief” for the United States. In this particular passage, he explains how factions are inevitable in our country, however, controlling the effect of factions would diminish their “mischievous impact.” Thus, prohibiting factions assists in reducing the probability of “[a] weaker party or an obnoxious individual” from gaining power over the minority. These smaller factions that Madison hopes to avoid are a direct result of “pure democracy” that he accounts as have “general[ly]…short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.” Therefore, this particular fragment from federalist 10 serves as the precedent to the introduction of a mixed Constitution of a democracy and republic, in this case, a large republic.
After the Revolution, the country was left in an economic crisis and struggling for a cohesive path moving forward. The remaining financial obligations left some Founding Fathers searching for ways to create a stronger more centralized government to address concerns on a national level. The thought was that with a more centralized, concentrated governing body, the more efficient tensions and fiscal responsibilities could be addressed. With a central government manning these responsibilities, instead of the individual colonies, they would obtain consistent governing policies. Libertarians often called out the unethical and untrustworthy practices of the government. Most people who supports the Green Party are environmental conscious. The Green Parties supporters are for equality amongst all citizens and non-violence social reform. Both these parties called for a change from the unjust government practices, the representatives tap into the building frustration of its communities. Often casting blame onto the society that governs them. Although very few, we win office. They do caused a big impact on who could win office. Many voters vote for these representatives simply because they are tired with the current state of the nation.
Despite what’s against 3rd parties they still do manage to make some important contributions in our political system. One contribution is there ability to shift other party’s views along the political spectrum slightly.
Why was the Declaration of Independence written? The Declaration of Independence was written in 1776. We all know that day as Independence Day. It was accepted on July 4, 1776. On that day, the United States had freedom. There was a long, hard process to get the Declaration of Independence where it needed to be. It took several people, and several reviews to get it just right.
I simply like how the Peace and Freedom Party focuses on a broad scale of issues and they go into depth about wanting to have peace and freedom for everyone and protecting and preserving Earth for as long as we all shall live. Also, I like how the peace and freedom party doesn’t simply focus on the large issues that attract people to them, but it seems like they actually want to make a change in the way people think about each other and instead of fighting one another they want people of all races, genders, sexual orientations and more to come together and help each other out. Overall, this is an amazing third party that I would join because they want the same thing I do for this state and eventually for the country as a whole and they not only concentrate on big issues, but small ones too. The democratic and republican parties share some differences and similarities to the freedom and peace party, but The Freedom and Peace party is like having the best of both worlds for me and that is what makes it appealing to
The constitution is one of the most valued documents in history. The typical American believes that the Constitution was a successful conclusion to the American Revolution. However, this is false. The Framers of the Constitution were dreamers who congregated together, originally to amend the Articles of Confederation, in Philadelphia in the early Fall of 1787 at the Constitutional Convention. The creation of the constitution was a result of the American Revolution in which delegates fashioned a manual that established a national government, essential laws and granted natural born rights to certain citizens. .... Out of all the political parties, the Republican Party was least of all that I identified with. I agree most with the ideologies of the Democratic and Libertarian parties. I think that these parties interest is most targeted to use government as an instrument for the people, rather then working against it, as well as uniting people rather then alienating and discriminating.
In the United States there are only two main political parties to choose from. The two main parties are the Democrats and the Republicans. There are also many other political parties to choose from which are called third parties. Third parties may include political parties such as the Socialist Equality Party and the Peace and Equality party. People can choose to be a part of any party they want but most go with the common two main parties the Democrats and Republicans. Democrats and Republicans have many similarities and differences. These mainly occur in international, social, economic, and domestic issues.
The platform for the Freedom Socialist Party believes that working class must liberate itself through socialism. Consequently, they want to try and become a mass working class party. Also, they believe that the class has the strategic power, numbers, need, and opportunity to effect a transformation of society. The FSP fight for the struggles of minorities against racism, sexism, and sexual repression of gays and lesbians. They also believe that among the most doomed and vulnerable people of capitalism are the children, elders, the disabled and prisoners. In other words, anyone who is not a profitable worker. Therefore, the Freedom Socialist Party strives for universal human rights. Lastly, the Freedom party believes that the environment should be kept safe by the people, not large corporations, and that technology should be used wisely and humanely so not to destroy the earth or its inhabits.
The aim of this essay is to prove the reliability of and why Libertarianism is the most coherent of the three views, which refers to the idea of human free will being true, that one is not determined, and therefore, they are morally responsible. In response to the quote on the essay, I am disagreeing with Wolf. This essay will be further strengthened with the help of such authors as C.A. Campell, R. Taylor and R.M. Chisholm. They present similar arguments, which essentially demonstrate that one could have done otherwise and one is the sole author of the volition. I will present the three most common arguments in support of Libertarianism, present an objection against Libertarianism and attempt to rebut it as well as reject one main argument from the other views. As a result, this essay will prove that one is held morally responsibly for any act that was performed or chosen by them, which qualify as a human act.
My Political Views are most consistent with the Libertarian Party. Libertarian party fights for the personal freedoms of every American. The Libertarian Agenda includes restoring Constitutional Government, legalizing narcotics, no gun control at all, eliminating the Federal Income Tax, cut defense and spending, and running campaigns on privately donated money. The Libertarian Party believes in absolute economic and social freedom. The party believes the only role of government should be protecting people and property against injury. The party believes that government should not regulate the economy at all. Government should only protect a business owner?s property and resources. Compared with the two parties in power currently, the Libertarian Party would not be consistent with either party?s agenda and is unique in its own political aspects.
Why should we question our government? Why should we doubt the decision that was taken for the better of the people years ago? Before federalism was even considered did we not have an anti federalist government? Did we not try to make it work? If anti-federalism is for the better of the people why did we feel the need to question it? Why did we feel the need to change it? The answer to all of these questions is simple. Anti-federalism is not and will never be for the better of the states, but most importantly it’s not for the better of the people as a whole.
The two party system has encouraged the idea that voting for anyone who is not ‘blue’ or ‘red’ is a wasted vote. This can be seen in the lack of votes that 3rd party candidates are getting, for example in 2012 between the three third party candidates there was a total of 1,570,767 votes.(IVN) This could be because only a little more than half of the voting age population actually voted. (GMU) Or it could be to the lack of media coverage that they get. Third party candidates, or any candidate for that matter need to get at least 5% of the vote in a general election to get equal ballot access and federal funding like the two big parties. Another reason this idea of a wasted vote comes through is because no one knows what these other parties stand for they just hear what people on CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News say about them. For instance the libertarian party has been deemed nothing more than a bunch of pot smoking hippies just because they want to legalize marijuana. The big media outlets don’t look at the party as a whole and find one unpopular opinion they have and bash it into the skulls of their viewers as the truth.
Capitalism is an economic system in which the production and distribution are privately owned, the government involvement is minimal,and there is free enterprise. In Capitalism, the means of production are privately owned and operated for profit in a competitive market. Also the economic investment, ownership and profits are all owned by individuals. Under capitalism the state is separated from the economy, which means that the government has no role in business. In other words, everyone works for themselves. The market forces in a capitalist country runs by supply and demand which it determines the price and later on it turns into profits. Supply is the quantity of goods and services a business is willing to sell, while Demand is the quantity of goods and services consumers are willing to buy. Therefore, Capitalism is the best economic system because it rewards the ones that work hard and since the government does not control trade, there is a large variety of goods and creates options for consumers to fit their personal needs.
