Dear donors,

I am sending this to you to personally thank you for the donating in the past. Your support is greatly appreciated by our students, as it will make a positive impact on them.

The EdFirst Foundation has provided K-12 students from low-income families from inner cities with mentoring, afterschool programs and among other resources. In the ten cities EdFirst operates, any child is qualified for the program. All services are free for children from families that rank below the federal poverty line; meanwhile, families ranked above the poverty line receiving the services are discounted between $25 and $75 per year.

98% of the parents of the program participants were “extremely satisfied” with our services. We continue to strive and prepare our students into the real world, as they become young adults. Recently, I have commission several third-party to evaluate our foundation performance. An independent evaluator identified the impacts on the students:

• Reading levels improved by 1.4 grade levels after six months of active participation.
• Reading levels improved by 2.3 grade levels after twelve months of active participation.
• Math scores improved by 1.9 grade levels after six months of active participation.
• Math scores improved by 2.6 grade levels after twelve months of active participation.

Unfortunately, our donation has dropped in 6% in the last quarter and nearly 23% in the last two years. We have reached our limits in our financial budget as it result in keeping our expenses low. We have sustained significant costs to supply textbooks and other curricular materials, renting and owning numerous education centers, providing transportation to each center for program volunteers and participants, and run countless extra curriculum afterschool
