Learning to drive is an experience many people go through at usually a young age. The responsibility of learning is big because it can mean life or death to yourself and others. Being a male it is expected you can drive well under pressure and think out your plan of action when in danger. To drive a car with manual transmission is a different journey and it requires more skills and the ability to multitask at any given second. Every driving experience starts off with learning to drive but everybody’s experience is different.
My experience with learning to drive started in middle school where kids were too young to enroll in driving classes. My parents were a busy pair and I was an athlete who was determined to do my best for my team. This of course meant I was required to train with my team to build a chemistry with them. I have the ability to gain enough speed to change the gear to neutral and drive into a parking lot and find a space while it is still in neutral. Reversing up a hill and parking in a space surrounded by other cars. Controlling my car after it lost control on a curvy road and still controlling the speed of the car afterwards. With practice I am able to successfully double clutch when shifting gears. Also I have not stalled my car ever since I started learning how to drive it.
Learning to master driving a manual transmission car has taught me that safe driving is the best driving. When driving stick shift you are constantly moving, looking, listening, and thinking. Learning to balance all this helps you realize how dangerous it is driving stick shift. At any given moment you can be in danger and now you have to add the danger to your already overwhelmed mind.
