Laura Linney was born on February 5, 1964, her dad, being a playwright himself, influenced her as a role model to join the film industry. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 ad “Role Models” displayed running opponent Donald Trump saying derogatory and at some point even slanderous things throughout his campaign rally as children watch on. Making us ask ourselves is this the role model we want our children to look up to, and desire to be like especially those who have a dream to become presidents themselves as most kids do. This ad show may show a couple of distorted facts, but a mass majority hold to be true, Trumps says all this while being on video at his campaign rallies while visiting different states. The point is to show the way he is talking and how kids still take offense to it no matter what, and we shouldn’t allow this kind of talk out the mouth of a potential leader of the country.
Millions of people are familiar with the television series, Full House. If you didn't grow up when Full House originally aired, you watched every single episode on Nick at Nite (over and over again). Everyone couldn't help but love Full House and each character in this sitcom. Young girls and young women looked toward fictional characters, Donna Jo "D.J." Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), and Rebecca "Becky" Donaldson-Katsopolis (Lori Loughlin), for inspiration. D.J. was a great role model for young girls and women struggling with body image and self-confidence. She also motivated young girls and women who had dreams of becoming writers, as she was editor of her school newspaper. If D.J. can do it, so can we! Becky showed young women that they can be successful news anchors. Although these were fictional characters, the acting talents of both Bure and Loughlin inspired many females. Now, Bure and Loughlin's daughters are taking their place, and encouraging young girls and women everywhere.

Who do you admire and why? When I first came across this question I immediately knew I wanted the person to be a female role model. In a world dominated by males a strong independent female is exactly what it needs. Not only did I want the person I admire to be a female, but I also wanted them to be African American seeing as to they are one of the greatest minorities. Ever since I was in eighth grade, I have been obsessed with Taylor Swift. She has been my role model since I was thirteen. When you look at most singers today, they have to be singing about drugs or alcohol, using vulgar language, or performing half-dressed. You never see Taylor Swift doing anything that she would be ashamed of later in life. On the other hand, she has had many relationships that have lasted short time periods.
