The United States is facing a problem that many people are quick to dismiss. The movie Killer at Large tells a lot about the obese rate in America and how throughout the years the obesity rate is getting higher and higher. Many people know what's going on but most people are not informed in how to deal with this current problem. Fast food plays a major part in the climb of obesity rates but can everything always be blamed on fast food?
There was a lot of great information throughout the movie but three key information that I didn't really know stood out to me the most. One if not the most important thing I learned watching the Killer at Large is that when people are usually stressed out they tend to eat more but they don't understand that when you are stressed out you store more food then you actually burn. Yes, I do but I believe everything shouldn't be blamed on the government for other people's actions. Airing junk food commercials multiple times in an hour or controlling what schools feed the children attending them is something the government could take more control of and influence those around about how important good eating habits are. Who I personally believe who have the most control of informing children of healthy lifestyles start with their parents. The reason that I believe that the parent's role in the rise of obesity rates in children compare to the government is that they tend to spend the most time with their children. What they buy from the store to bring back to their children is something they have full control of. Most healthier foods are more expensive than unhealthy foods but whether to buy them or not is the parent responsibility. Many people including myself are not well informed about how important it is to avoid an unhealthy lifestyle and fight for a better
