Pediatrics--(adjective) the branch of medicine dealing with children and their diseases--is an intriguing career. Ever since I’ve been in seventh grade I’ve know that I wanted to work with little kids and work in the medical field. Makenzie Vital inspired me to go in to pediatrics. She told me about what she wanted to do in the field of pediatrics(pediatric neurology) and without a doubt inspired me to go into pediatrics, but a different part of the field. There are many features, responsibilities, challenges, schooling, interest, skills, and planning involved in becoming a pediatric doctor.
The features of this job is what really drew me in, and that was kids. With the different types of ages, genders, and races it exposes you to different types of situations. This part of pediatrics also lets you see the child grow as she/he ages you get to see them from the time their born to when they are eighteen or twenty-one. This shows you how children can grow as they age. You get to discover how things work and why they work that way. You learn things that you have never learned before. You get to solve problems on a daily basis, which makes your job even more interesting. You never know what to expect, which is always fun, because you don’t know what to expect some emergencies makes it even more fun. This is why I can’t wait to start this job when I’m older it makes me think and I get to work with kids!
Responsibilities are huge in this career. You have to keep patients information organized, confidential, and make sure that appointments are scheduled right. When typing in information, there are specific slots that are for specific information, and if you mess that up, you can almost mess everything. It is a huge resp...

...s field is so interesting; it has such a variety of pediatrics you can do so you are almost always learning information. I love children and that they are always growing, and you get to see how they grow each time you see them. The skill set you need for it is exactly what I feel like I can do. The schooling may be difficult, but I’m willing to do it because this is what I want to do. There are many features, responsibilities, challenges, schooling, interest, skills, and planning involved in becoming a pediatric doctor. I know that I will have to get to know people who are already in this field, so I know how it works, and if put in a situation that is an emergency, how to respond. I hope that as I go into this field of study that I discover more details about pediatrics and the way it works. I’ll have my highs and my lows and I can’t wait to start this job.
