While I was reading Kate Chopin's short story “The Storm” I was a bit confused on what was going on in the story. Then I read it for a second time and then skim through it the third until I fully understand what was really going on in the story. In the story Calixta, which was the main character in the story was having an affair while her husband and son was stuck at the market during a terrible storm. then in the most randomous time she saw her ex lover outside in the storm and she invited him inside her home. To sum things up Calixta and the man ended up cheating on both their partners and got away without anyone knowing. Since I am not married I cannot really relate to the story, but the story do relate to our world, in some cases a storm can stir up some emotion, and like in this story people can actually get away with it. …show more content…
