The book Johnny Tremain mentions several locations including Boston where johnny grew up and lives during the days leading up to the Revolutionary War.The places Johnny also encountered were Charlestown, Lexington, In the book it explains the great adventures that Johnny and his group of patriotic and freedom fighting friends throughout the harsh war. Johnny took risky and brave actions during the war like having the high chance of being shot and killed. 1776 by David McCullough is a non-fiction historical book that historically accounts an in depth view of The American Revolution. The book starts from late 1775 and spans to the end of 1776. The book includes the Battle of New York, the Battle of Brooklyn, the Battle of Boston, the Battle of Fort Washington, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the ending Battle of Trenton in 1776. David McCullough adds a sense of emotion and color to this book where it 's more than a history book that lists facts. Not only does he add a sense of enjoyment to read, 1776 provides detailed accounts of the military life during the end of 1775 to the end of 1776 and detailed accounts of the battles. “A View of Part of the Town of Boston in New-England and British Ships of War: Landing Their Troops! 1768” is an engraving done by Paul Revere in May of 1770 in the wake of the success of “The Bloody Massacre Perpetrated in King Street”. Carved in protest of the british occupation of boston following the Intolerable acts as anti-british propaganda, weeks after the Boston Massacre. The widespread popularity of this print at the time shows the rising revolutionary movement.
The story of Celia Garth is about a 20 year old woman trying to make a living as a seamstress in Charleston, South Carolina during the Revolutionary war. The author does a great job of setting up the scenes of the town and plantations, and the history of the time. We follow Celia and her friends through the siege of Charleston by the British, living through the constant shelling and lack of food until the final surrender. At first, things seem normal after the surrender and Celia begins to build a new life, but tragedy strikes after the British go back on their promises and Celia must start life fresh. Now while working as a seamstress Celia is also a bit of a "spy" for the colonials. The story is showing the audience anyone can do anything.
The Revolutionary War both the British and the American colonists had many difficulties to face. The Americans were at a disadvantage due to their lack of experienced soldiers and supplies. The British badly put down the greatness of the North American continent . In order for the Americans to accomplish in winning the war, they had to train their militias and learn military tactics to best attack the British. In order for british to have won they should have taken the colonists more seriously and better planned their military tactics. For the Americans and the British there were challenges to be taken and their decisions on how to affect them basically decided the end of the war.

The Theme of our Almanac is Science and Technology so my Historical Analysis will be based off of the Science and Technology of the Industrial Revolution. My historical analysis will be about the inventions during the Industrial Revolution. The three I will be focusing on: The Water Frame, The Improved Steam Engine and the Sewing Machine. All three of those inventions all offer some sort of Problem, Progress and Promise to the Industrial Revolution. I will be analyzing those three things.
A revolutionary is something people dream of becoming, whether you’re George Washington leading a revolution, or you’re the person who created the wheel. The process of creating technology that changes the world is one in a million, many people attempt this feat but many wind up crashing and burning. By paraphrasing Schatzberg’s law we see that, technologies aren’t what’s truly revolutionary, but they are what’s used to create a revolutionary. To see this in its entirety it’s useful to see both sides of the spectrum through two revolutionaries: Henry Ford and Fordism, and Eckert and Mauchly and their UNIVAC. Using Fordism, Henry Ford was able to keep his company structured, while Mauchly and the UNIVAC failed through its unorganized company. There are pros and cons to the success of Ford, and the failure of Mauchly, which one must pay close attention to. Looking deep into these inventions and inventors can highlight the idea that these people (Henry Ford, and the military) used their inventions to create a more uniform, and structured society.
