According to Crime and Investigation, John Wayne Gacy Jr. was an American serial killer and rapist.In addition, Gacy tormented and murdered thirty-three young men and teenagers, burrowing twenty-nine under his crawl space while the other four bodies thrown in the Des Plaines River. All of John Wayne Gacy's victims were all teenagers and young men ages fourteen to twenty one. In addition to that, his murders were carried out in his Norwood Park ranch house. Not only did Gacy lure his victims and make them do horribly things sexually, he tormented them, attacked them, and executed them. Then covering them in his storm cellar and spread the floor with lime to break up the bodies to cover the foul odor. He killed his victims by strangulation with Gacy was transferred to the Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois ,for fourteen years before his death. While in prison he drew famous painting of his alter ego “pogo the clown” that sold for $200 to $20,000 a piece. On May 9th, 1994, before his execution he was allowed to have a non-disclosed picnic with his family. In addition, his last meal was a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken, french fries, a pound of strawberries, a dozen of fried shrimp, and a diet coke. Gacy's last words before his execution on May 10th, were “kiss my ass.” The outcome after his death was he had his brain removed by Dr. Helen Morrison, to see if there were common traits of psychopath killers. (crimescenedb.com) The way Gacy murdered his victims shows the cruelty and devastating effects of his psychological issues. His smaller crimes contributed to his mass spree of killing. The investigation of Gacy was strenuous because Gacy was canny in his actions of protecting himself which is another reason his trial was just as elongated because he lied exceedingly but because their was so much evidence against him, it ultimately destroyed him resulting in his death.
