John F Kennedy “The Strategy for Peace”
1)The purpose of John F Kennedy speech is about maintaining peace both within the country and with other nations. John F kennedy told the Americans that he wants to end war and start to maintain peace, also states some strategy such as “...begin by looking inward-by examining his own attitude toward the course of the cold war and towards freedom and peace here at home.”(p.114) He states that citizens should start looking inward if they want to have peace and make a change. He states that if they wanted to have peace that they should join the peace corps abroad or national service corps or follow some of the strategy he says. There were so many fear on nuclear weapon at the time period.He tells everyone that “ for in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we are inhabit this small planet. We all breath the same air. We all cherish our children's future. He states that “Today the expenditure of billions of dollars every year on weapons acquired for the purpose of making sure we never need them is essential to the keeping of peace.
