The Association of Jeff Koons and Alfredo Jaar Jeff Koons and Alfredo Jaar are both interesting and talented artists. Throughout this essay, a detailed comparison of Jeff and Alfredo will be laid out to feature the artists’ similarities and differences. These two artists are so different, yet very similar in their quests to make the world a better place through their art. Who are these artists? Similarly different individuals that come from different backgrounds to become visionaries that stand out in their arena. Jeff Koons was born in York, Pennsylvania in 1955. Koons attended college at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. At the conclusion of his schooling, Jeff earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1976. Koons’ first exhibit was in 1980 and from this date forward, he has held shows in major galleries and institutions around the world. His most well-known pieces of art are Rabbit, Balloon Dog, and Puppy (1992). Jeff Koons is an iconic artist with abundant accolades living in New York City. Koons and Jarr are both recognized internationally and had their careers take off in the late 1980’s. These artists are highly decorated with awards and other recognition within their respective field. These men portrayed life in its entirety, spanning from the upbeat and colorful happiness to the drab colorless state of dystopia in war in genocide. Both men made critical observations on the human condition.
