For many children, youth sports help them to disregard life's problems. School and home, are non-existent. Instead, children partake in sports to have fun and win games. While also gaining lifelong friends plus receiving several life lessons. However, this escape is slowly going away. The chances of getting a college scholarship to a good school have led to parents engaging more in youth sports. As parents believe their children have a high chance if only they put in more effort to their training. As amazing as scholarships are for getting free money. Colleges only offer a few every year. As a result, some parents are pressuring their children to perform over their limits, all while they might not even get the opportunity to play for a college. …show more content…

They began to associate their identity with their performance in sports. Additionally, One of the most fragile parts of a child is their bones since they have still not yet fully developed. A severe bone fracture can have long-term complications, as having to break the bone again if it grows abnormally. No parent wants to feel guilty for doing that to their children. So if sports are dangerous what should parents do? Parents should allow their children to play sports for they are critical for learning valuable life skills which they don't teach in the classroom. Sports teach lessons that are not taught in the classroom or anywhere else. Parents that deny children from engaging in sports are robbing them from valuable life lessons.
