With the advancement of technology to the point it has reached in current times, human contact can be, at times, limited to say the least. Is this a good or bad thing for society? Many would say it is a terrible thing for less interaction to take place, but technology has brought many good things as well. Just about everything we rely on from day to day would not have been possible without the terrific technological leaps forward we have made in recent years. Technology has been a great thing for society, it has allowed for transactions to become much faster and more efficient, it has allowed for access to many things that otherwise would not be obtainable, as well as making common things more affordable for everyone. At pretty much any store you go to you can pay for what you are purchasing by simply swiping a card and going on with your day, it may not seem very special to us because it is something we all do almost everyday, but this has really sped up the experience of making a purchase. Faster transactions are not only good for the customer, it also has a very positive impact on the business. At times when business is high and lines are long, the way we pay can make a tremendous difference. When paying with newer ways and taking full advantage of the technology that is in place, stores can serve more customers in the same amount of time. This also helps them to make more money in the same time frame. Most of us at sometime in our lives have tried to go purchase something and could not find what was needed, this is where the beauty of technology shines for some. It was not long ago that if you could not find what you needed you just had to deal with it or try to find it at another place, but now anyone with a computer or even a smart phone can make purchases online. This has really changed the way someone can shop for goods. Shopping online also allows you to skip the lines and the waiting, it is also a more discrete way to buy.
