Macbeth, A brave and loyal man to King Duncan had everything he wanted as he became the new Thane of Cawdor, but Macbeth had his prophecy told to him by three witches told him that he will be King if he killed Duncan. The ambitions of Lady Macbeth, who was thirsty for power pushed Macbeth questioning his manhood led him to killing Duncan and becoming the new King. Macbeth was guilty about the murder and never wanted to do it. Lady Macbeth was planning to kill Duncan herself and wanted power more than he did. As King, Macbeth thought he was going to be taken over by Banquo’s sons as the three witches also prophesied that Banquo’s sons will become the king of Scotland, and Macbeth was scared it would happen soon. Lady Macbeth was the reason for both to turn into a corrupt and greedy couple. Lady Macbeth did everything she could do to influence Macbeth, to make his prophecy come true. Lady Macbeth was manipulative and turned Macbeth into a Power Crazed man who was blind from greed and power Macbeth, a good man before he met the witches and then something happened, he was thinking about killing Duncan but he was questioning himself and had no clue what to do, he didn't want to kill King Duncan he did his best to try to shy away from any killing, but Lady Macbeth questioned his manhood, and planned on killing Duncan herself. “For mine own good all causes shall give way. I am in blood Stepped in so far that, should I wade no more, returning were as tedious as go o'er.” (3.4.167-170) He thought that killing Duncan for power was for his own good because he thought it was his prophecy to become king that was given by the witches to him. If they would have never agreed to telling Macbeth his prophecy, then this murder wouldn't of happened and the suicide of Lady Macbeth and the death of Macbeth at the end of the play would of never happened. The three witches told Macbeth his future and they knew he would try to stop them and they didn't tell him the consequences. “I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself And falls on the other” (1.7.25-28) Macbeth wants the power to himself, as he is hungry for power and becoming royalty he would of been loyal to Duncan if he didn't know that he would be king if he had to kill him.They lead Macbeth into “Darkness” telling him what he wanted to hear and not what would happen if he went out of his way to stop the prophesies true which would end to him dying.
