There are many different types of weather, but the snow sure has its perks. Yes, snow also has a downfall, but what doesn't? All weather has some type of outcome, snow just happens to have a magical one. Snow may keep you from driving anywhere, because of the icy roads, but it gives you a chance to stay home and go sledding. Children for the most part enjoy snow, because they get snow days. Snowflakes are very unique, because of their appearance, how they are formed, and the special requirements they need to remain.

To begin with, snowflakes are beautiful to look at, especially when it's freshly fallen. When you look outside and see the blankets of snow it makes you want to go jump into it. We don’t always pay close attention to what snowflakes really look like though. According to "Snowflakes from Dust," snowflakes are actually ice crystals. Most all snowflakes have six sides. However, some have three and others have 12. When you're looking outside of your window snowflakes just look like tiny, white dots floating through the air. They are almost microscopic until you get up close. You can't see the true beauty of the flakes unless you're up close.
